The protection of human rights is often a central aspect of peace agreements and settlements, as one of the main foundations of peace is the protection of human rights. The protection of human rights in peace agreements is crucial to the sustainability and preservation of peace. In the meantime, many domestic and international organizations in countries around the world are working in the fields of peace, human rights and humanitarian rights, which aim to protect and support the ideals, goals and practical results of human rights so that they can be implemented in their true sense in practice. Therefore, human rights NGOs that have worked to ensure such protection are expected to play a major role in ensuring the implementation of human rights obligations. However, the same transitional perspective that provides opportunities for strengthening the implementation of human rights also creates challenges for domestic human rights NGOs. After an agreement, conflict patterns, existing human rights mechanisms and human rights actors all undergo transformation and evolution. This can create challenges for human rights NGOs in terms of their missions, priorities, funding, recruitment and their relationships with other domestic and international groups and organizations, as well as with governments or state-affiliated institutions and organizations. This article describes and analyzes how the transition is affecting domestic human rights NGOs using examples from different countries. The article concludes by offering a number of suggestions for improving human rights protection after conflicts, emphasizing the influential role of international organizations in protecting and safeguarding human rights.
